PEER REVIEW

It’s economical: Having students review each other’s work (rather than reviewing it all yourself) provides them with feedback sooner! It also allows you to spend your time helping the students who need the most help. 

It’s educational: Peer review activities help students take control of their own education. They also encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of the rules of writing an essay. 

It’s democratic: Peer review activities reinforce the democratic concept of community, as students are encouraged to pool their knowledge and skills to produce better essays as a class.
